Hadith 4117

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَأَبُو مُوسَى ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الشَّعْبِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا ، وَلا الْعَمَّةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أَخِيهَا ، وَلا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَالَتِهَا ، وَلا الْخَالَةُ عَلَى بِنْتِ أُخْتِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A woman should not be married together with her paternal aunt, nor should a paternal aunt be married together with her niece. A woman should not be married together with her maternal aunt, nor should a maternal aunt be married together with her niece (i.e., a paternal aunt and her niece or a maternal aunt and her niece should not be joined together in marriage)."
