Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade marrying a woman along with her paternal aunt or maternal aunt (i.e., marrying the niece of one’s wife). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: If you women do this, you will be guilty of violating the rights of kinship. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Abu Hariz is Abdullah bin Husayn; he was the judge of Sijistan, whereas the Abu Hariz who was the freed slave of Zuhri is weak and unreliable; his name is Salim. Both of them have narrated traditions from Zuhri.
