Hadith 3955

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا نَلْبَسُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا ، قَالَ : " لا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ ، وَلا السَّرَوِيلاتِ ، وَلا الْعَمَائِمَ ، وَلا الْبَرَانِسَ ، وَلا الْخِفَافَ ، إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَيْسَ لَهُ نَعْلانِ ، فَلْيَلْبَسِ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ ، وَلا تَلْبَسُوا مِنَ الثِّيَابِ شَيْئًا مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَالْوَرْسُ " .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah! When we are in the state of Ihram, which clothes should we wear?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do not wear shirts, trousers, turbans, caps, or socks. However, if someone does not have shoes, he may wear socks below the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has saffron or wars applied to it."
