It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both: He used to throw seven pebbles at the first Jamrah, saying Takbeer with each pebble. Then he would move forward and stand facing the Qiblah. He would stand for a long time and make supplication, raising both his hands. Then he would throw pebbles at the Jamrah of Aqabah from the lower part of the valley. He would not stay near it, then he would return and say: I have seen the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, doing it in this manner.
