Hadith 3868

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى مِنًى ، فَأَقَامَ بِهَا أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ الثَّلاثَ ، يَرْمِي الْجِمَارَ حَتَّى تَزَولَ الشَّمْسُ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ كُلَّ جَمْرَةٍ ، وَيُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ تَكْبِيرَةً يَقِفُ عِنْدَ الأُولَى ، وَعِنْدَ الْوُسْطَى بِبَطْنِ الْوَادِي ، فَيُطِيلُ الْمَقَامَ ، وَيَنْصَرِفُ إِذَا رَمَى الْكُبْرَى ، وَلا يَقِفُ عِنْدَهَا ، وَكَانَتِ الْجِمَارُ مِنْ آثَارِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) departed after performing the Zuhr prayer. He returned to Mina and spent the days of Tashreeq there. There he would throw pebbles at the Jamarat until the sun had declined. He would throw seven pebbles at each Jamrah and say Takbeer with each pebble. He would stay near the valley's lower part by the first and second Jamrah and would remain there for a long time. When he had thrown pebbles at the big Jamrah, he would return and would not stay by it. These Jamarat are signs of the incident of our master Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
