Hadith 386

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ امْرَأَةً بَغِيًّا رَأَتْ كَلْبًا فِي يَوْمٍ حَارٍّ يُطِيفُ بِبِئْرٍ ، قَدْ أَدْلَعَ لِسَانَهُ مِنَ الْعَطَشِ ، فَنَزَعَتْ لَهُ ، فَسَقَتْهُ ، فَغُفِرَ لَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A sinful woman saw a dog on a very hot day, circling around a well, and it was sticking out its tongue due to intense thirst. The woman drew water for it and gave it to drink, so she was forgiven."
