Hadith 3849

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُجَيْرِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الطُّوسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " أَضْلَلْتُ بَعِيرًا لِي فَذَهَبْتُ أَطْلُبُهُ بِعَرَفَةَ ، فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ وَاقِفًا مَعَ النَّاسِ ، فَقُلْتُ : وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنَ الْحُمْسِ ، فَمَا شَأْنُهُ وَاقِفًا هَا هُنَا " .
Muhammad bin Jubair narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im, may Allah be pleased with him): My camel was lost, and while searching for it, I came to Arafah. There I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) standing with the people at Arafah. I said: By Allah! He belongs to the Hums (the Quraysh), why is he standing here?
