Hadith 3843

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ، قَالَ : اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَطَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ ، فَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ ، وَنَحْنُ نَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ ، أَنْ يَرْمِيَهُ أَحَدٌ أَوْ يُصِيبُهُ بِشَيْءٍ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَدْعُو عَلَى الأَحْزَابِ ، يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمُ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ ، مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ ، سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ ، اهْزِمِ الأَحْزَابَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abu Awfa narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed Umrah. He circumambulated the House of Allah and performed the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. We were protecting you from the people of Makkah, lest someone might shoot an arrow at you or strike you with something else. The narrator says: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) supplicating against the (enemy) armies in this way: “O Allah! Defeat them, make them stumble. O Revealer of the Book, O Swift in reckoning, defeat the (enemy) armies. O Allah! Defeat them.”
