أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ ، عَنْ خَلادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ فَلْيَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ شِعَارِ الْحَجِّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : سَمِعَ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ خَلادُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، مِنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَمِنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، وَلَفْظَاهُمَا مُخْتَلِفَانِ ، وَهُمَا طَرِيقَانِ مَحْفُوظَانِ .
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "Jibreel came to me and said: O (Sayyiduna) Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), command your companions to recite the Talbiyah in a loud voice, for this is the distinctive practice of Hajj." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Khallad bin Sa’ib heard this narration both from his father and from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be pleased with him. The wording differs between the two, but both chains are preserved.
