Hadith 3754

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : حَجَّ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَلَى رَحْلٍ ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ شَحِيحًا ، وَحَدَّثَ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَّ عَلَى رَحْلٍ ، وَكَانَتْ زَامِلَتَهُ " .
Thumamah bin Abdullah narrates: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) performed Hajj while sitting on a saddle. He was not a miserly person, but he mentioned that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also went for Hajj riding on a saddle; that was his mount. (Zamilah refers to that she-camel on which luggage is loaded.)
