أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْقَطَّانُ بِالرَّقَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَكِيمُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا ، يَقُولُ : " مَا عِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ نَقْرَؤُهُ إِلا كِتَابَ اللَّهِ ، وَصَحِيفَةً فِي قِرَابِ سَيْفِي ، فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْنَا ، فَإِذَا فِيهَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ أَسْنَانِ الإِبِلِ وَالْجِرَاحَاتِ ، وَإِذَا فِيهَا مَنْ وَالَى قَوْمًا بِغَيْرِ إِذَنِ مَوَالِيهِ ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ ، وَمَلائِكَتِهِ ، وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا ، وَلا عَدْلا ، ذِمَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَاحِدَةٌ ، يَسْعَى بِهَا أَدْنَاهُمْ ، فَمَنْ أَخْفَرَ مُسْلِمًا ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمَلائِكَةِ ، وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، وَلا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفٌ ، وَلا عَدْلٌ ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ حَرَامٌ مَا بَيْنَ لابَتَيْهَا ، فَمَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا حَدَثًا ، أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ ، وَالْمَلائِكَةِ ، وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفٌ وَلا عَدْلٌ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We have no book which we read except the Book of Allah, or a scroll which is in the sheath of my sword. Then he read that scroll to us. In it were some rulings regarding the blood money for camels and for wounds, and in it was this statement: Whoever (a freed slave) attributes himself to anyone other than his master, upon him is the curse of Allah, His angels, and all people. Allah will not accept any obligatory or voluntary act of worship from such a person on the Day of Resurrection. The protection given by all Muslims is of equal status; even their common person will strive to fulfill it. And whoever disgraces a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, His angels, and all people. No obligatory or voluntary act of worship will be accepted from such a person on the Day of Resurrection. And Madinah, between its two boundaries, is entirely sacred. Whoever introduces an innovation here or gives refuge to an innovator, upon him is the curse of Allah, His angels, and all people. No obligatory or voluntary act of worship will be accepted from such a person on the Day of Resurrection.
