باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر البيان بأن محبة من وصفنا قبل للمرء على الطاعات إنما هو تعجيل بشراه في الدنياChapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – The love of people for one who is obedient is a sign of glad tidings in this world.
Hadith 366

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَعْمَلُ لِنَفْسِهِ ، وَيُحِبُّهُ النَّاسُ ؟ قَالَ : " تِلْكَ عَاجِلُ بُشْرَى الْمُؤْمِنِ " .
Abdullah bin Samit narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! A person performs deeds for himself, but people love him for it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the glad tidings that a believer receives quickly.
