Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled during the month of Ramadan. For one of his companions, fasting became a cause of hardship. His camel took him to the shade of a tree. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed about this, he ordered him to break his fast. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a vessel containing water, took it in his hand, and when the people saw that he had drunk the water, they also drank the water (and broke their fast).
