أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيِّ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا أَنَا أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، إِذْ حَانَتْ مِنْهُ الْتِفَاتَةٌ ، فَأَبْصَرَ رَجُلا يَحْتَجِمُ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : سَمِعَ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ أَبُو قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، وَسَمِعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ ، وَهُمَا طَرِيقَانِ مَحْفُوظَانِ ، وَقَدْ جَمَعَ شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بَيْنَ الإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، عَنْ يَحِيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، وَعَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ .
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, on the eighteenth of Ramadan, I was walking with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). During this time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his attention and saw a man who was getting cupped. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who performs cupping and the one who gets cupped, their fast is broken. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): Abu Qilabah also heard this narration from Abu Asma from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), and he also heard this narration from Abu Ash'ath from Abu Asma from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), so both chains are preserved. Shayban bin Abdur Rahman combined both chains of this narration transmitted from Yahya bin Abu Kathir, which is narrated from Abu Qilabah from Abu Asma from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), and from Abu Ash'ath from Abu Asma from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him).
