Hadith 3521

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، بِالْبَصْرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَفْطَرَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ نَاسِيًا ، فَلا قَضَاءَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلا كَفَّارَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever eats something forgetfully during the month of Ramadan, then making up (the fast) is not obligatory upon him, nor is expiation obligatory upon him."
