Hadith 3453

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رِضُوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ يَكُونُ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "A month can also be of twenty-nine days."
