Hadith 3451

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الشَّهْرُ ثَلاثُونَ ، وَالشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَعُدُّوا ثَلاثِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “(Sometimes) the month is of thirty days and (sometimes) the month is of twenty-nine days. If clouds cover you, then complete the count of thirty.”
