أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ تَسْنِيمٍ كُوفِيٌّ ثَبْتٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الزَّيَّاتِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ إِلا الصِّيَامَ ، فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطِيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ ، لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ : إِذَا أَفْطَرَ ، فَرِحَ بِفِطْرِهِ ، وَإِذَا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ ، فَرِحَ بِصَوْمِهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : شِعَارُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الْقِيَامَةِ التَّحْجِيلُ بِوُضُوئِهِمْ فِي الدُّنِيَا فَرَقًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ سَائِرِ الأُمَمِ ، وَشِعَارُهُمْ فِي الْقِيَامَةِ بِصَوْمِهِمْ طِيبُ خُلُوفِهِمْ أَطِيَبُ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ لِيُعْرَفُوا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ الْجَمْعِ بِذَلِكَ الْعَمَلِ ، نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ بَرَكَةَ ذَلِكَ الِيَوْمِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I will reward it. (The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:) By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the smell from the mouth of a fasting person will be purer with Allah on the Day of Resurrection than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person will have two joys: one at the time of breaking the fast, due to breaking the fast, and one when he meets his Lord, due to his fasting." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:): On the Day of Resurrection, the special distinguishing mark of the believers will be the radiance from their ablution performed in the world, by which they will be distinguished from all other nations, and on the Day of Resurrection, their special sign will be the smell from their mouths due to fasting, which will be purer than the fragrance of musk, so that as a result of their deeds, they will be recognized among all people in the field of gathering. We ask Allah Almighty for the blessing of that day.
