باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر الإخبار بأن من وفق للعمل الصالح قبل موته كان ممن أريد به الخيرChapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – Whoever is guided to good deeds before death is among those intended for good.
Hadith 341

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ " قِيلَ : كَيْفَ يَسْتَعْمِلُهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " يُوَفِّقُهُ لِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ قَبْلَ الْمَوْتِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He uses him." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! How does He use him? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He grants him the ability to do righteous deeds before his death."
