Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for something and he gave it to me. I asked him again and he gave it to me again. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, this wealth is sweet and lush. Whoever acquires it with contentment of the soul, it is blessed for him. And whoever acquires it with greed of the soul, there is no blessing in it for him. Its example is like that of a person who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand."
