Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a person opens the door of begging for himself, Allah opens the door of poverty upon him. If a person takes a rope, gathers a bundle of wood, carries it on his back, goes to the market and sells it, and eats from it, this is better for him than asking people, whether they give him something or not."
