Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Once, he participated in a funeral. He took a twig and began to scratch the ground with it. He said: "A specific place in Hell or in Paradise has been fixed for each one of you." The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Should we not rely on this?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should act, for ease has been made for every person." (The command of Allah, the Exalted, is:) "So, as for him who gives and fears (Allah) and affirms goodness, We will ease him toward ease. And as for him who is stingy and considers himself self-sufficient and denies goodness, We will ease him toward hardship." Shu’bah says: Mansur bin Mu’tamir narrated this hadith to me, but I did not deny it being narrated from Salman.
