Hadith 3328

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : مَالِي ، وَإِنَّمَا لَهُ مِنْ مَالِهِ مَا أَكَلَ فَأَفْنَى ، أَوْ لَبِسَ فَأَبْلَى ، أَوْ تَصَدَّقَ فَأَمْضَى ، وَمَا سِوَاهُ ، فَهُوَ ذَاهِبٌ وَتَارِكُهُ لِلنَّاسِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A servant says, 'My wealth,' whereas from his wealth, his share is only that which he consumes and finishes, or wears and wears out, or gives in charity and sends forward. Other than that, whatever else there is, the person will depart and leave it for the people."
