أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سِنَانَ الْقَطَّانُ ، بِوَاسِطَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانَ السُّكَّرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ صَفُوَانِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ اللَّجْلاجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَجْتَمِعُ غُبَارٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَدُخَانُ جَهَنَّمَ فِي جَوْفِ عَبْدٍ ، وَلا يَجْتَمِعُ الشُّحُّ وَالإِيمَانُ فِي قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ أَبَدًا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The dust raised in the way of Allah and the smoke of Hell cannot be combined in a servant, and miserliness and faith can never be combined in a servant's heart."
