Hadith 3222

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ بَعْدِي الْفَقْرَ ، وَلَكِنِّي أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ ، وَمَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمُ الْخَطَأَ ، وَلَكِنِّي أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمُ الْعَمْدَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not fear poverty for you after me, rather I fear abundance (of wealth and riches) for you. And I do not fear (sins) committed by mistake for you, rather I fear (sins) committed deliberately by you."
