أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، بِبُسْتَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعُرُوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ : لَوْ رَأَيْتُمَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فِي مَرَضٍ لَهُ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ عِنْدِي سِتَّةُ دَنَانِيرَ أَوْ سَبْعَةٌ ، قَالَتْ : فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُفَرِّقَهَا ، فَشَغَلَنِي وَجَعُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى عَافَاهُ اللَّهُ ، قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ سَأَلَنِي عَنْهَا ، فَقُلْتُ : لا وَاللَّهِ قَدْ كَانَ شَغَلَنِي وَجَعُكَ ، قَالَتْ : فَدَعَا بِهَا فَوَضَعَهَا فِي كَفِّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا ظَنُّ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ لَوْ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عِنْدَهُ ؟ ! " .
Abu Umamah bin Sahl narrates: I and Urwah bin Zubair went to the service of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She said: I wish you had seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on that day when he was ill. At that time, six or perhaps seven dinars were with me belonging to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me to spend them, but due to the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I could not do so, until Allah Almighty improved his health. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired about them from me, so I replied: No, by Allah! Due to your illness, I could not spend them. Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had them brought and placed them on his palm, then he said: What would the Prophet of Allah think if he were to appear before Allah in such a state that these were still with him?
