أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ الْكَعْبَةَ وَمَعَهُ بِلالٌ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ، فَأَغْلَقُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجُوا ، سَأَلْتُ بِلالا ، قُلْتُ : أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُهُ " صَلَّى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ حِينَ دَخَلَ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " ، ثُمَّ لُمْتُ نَفْسِي أَنْ لا أَكُونَ سَأَلْتُهُ كَمْ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the Ka'bah. Along with him were Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Uthman bin Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him). These gentlemen closed the door for those who had entered. When these gentlemen came out, I asked Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): I said, "Where did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform the prayer?" He replied: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after entering, facing the front and performing the prayer between the two pillars on the right side." (Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates:) Then I reproached myself for not asking Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) how many rak'ahs the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed.
