Hadith 3183

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فِي قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ حَمَلُوا قَتْلاهُمْ ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْ رُدُّوا الْقَتْلَى إِلَى مَصَارِعِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates regarding the martyrs of Uhud: Some people moved their martyrs from there, so a proclaimer from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) made this announcement: Return the martyrs to the place where they were killed.
