Hadith 3139

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فِي الإِنْسَانِ عَظْمٌ لا تَأْكُلُهُ الأَرْضُ أَبَدًا ، مِنْهُ يُرَكَّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، قَالُوا : وَأَيُّ عَظْمٍ هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " عَجْبُ الذَّنَبِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is a specific part of a bone in the human body which the earth never consumes; from it, he will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment." The people asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Which bone is that? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A specific part of the backbone."
