Hadith 3114

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الطَّائِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ حِينَ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَإِذَا النَّاسُ قِيَامٌ يُصَلُّونَ ، وَإِذَا هِيَ قَائِمَةٌ تُصَلِّي ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا لِلنَّاسِ ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ، وَقَالَتْ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَقُلْتُ : آيَةٌ ؟ فَأَشَارَتْ : أَيْ نَعَمْ ، قَالَتْ : فَقُمْتُ حَتَّى تَجَلانِي الْغَشْيُ ، فَجَعَلْتُ أُصُبُّ الْمَاءَ فَوْقَ رَأْسِي ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُ لَمْ أَرَهُ إِلا قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ ، وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ " ، لا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : " مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ ؟ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ أَوِ الْمُوقِنُ فَلا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَيَقُولُ : " مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى ، فَأَجَبْنَا وَآمَنَّا وَاتَّبَعْنَا ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : نَمْ صَالِحًا قَدْ عَلِمْنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ لَمُؤْمِنًا ، وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ " ، لا أَدْرِي أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ فَيَقُولُ : " لا أَدْرِي ، سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُهُ " .
Sayyida Asma bint Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the solar eclipse occurred, I came to Aisha, and there were people standing and performing prayer. Aisha was also standing and performing prayer. I asked, "What has happened to the people?" She pointed towards the sky with her hand and said, "Subhan Allah." I asked, "Has a sign appeared?" She replied with a gesture, "Yes." Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I also stood up, until I began to feel faint, so I started pouring water over my head. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed the prayer, he praised and glorified Allah, then he said: "Everything that I had not seen before, I saw while standing in this place, even Paradise and Hell. And it has been revealed to me that you people will be tested in your graves, a trial similar to the trial of Dajjal (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) or close to it (the narrator says) I do not know which word Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) used. An (angel) will come to one of you and ask about this man. If he is a believer (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) or a person of certainty (the narrator says) I do not know which word Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) used, he will say: 'This is our master Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He came to us with clear proofs and guidance. We accepted his call, believed in him, and followed him.' It will be said to him: 'Sleep in a good state; we knew you were a believer.' And if he is a hypocrite or a person of doubt (the narrator says) I do not know which word Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) used, he will say: 'I do not know. I heard people saying something, so I said the same.'"
