Hadith 3093

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو بَغْدَادِيٌّ ، ثِقَةٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا كَانَتْ لَهُ جِرَاحَةٌ ، فَأَتَى قَرْنًا لَهُ فَأَخَذَ مِشْقَصًا ، فَذَبَحَ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ ، " فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: A man was wounded, he came to his quiver, took an arrow, and killed himself with it. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) did not offer his funeral prayer.
