Hadith 3088

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَبْرٍ مَنْبُوذٍ فَصَفَّهُمْ خَلْفَهُ قُلْتُ : " مَنْ أَخْبَرَكَ ؟ " قَالَ : ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ .
Imam Sha’bi narrates: The person who offered the funeral prayer at the grave with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) told me this. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made the people form rows behind him. The narrator says: I asked, “Who told you this?” He replied: Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
