أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحْرِزُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ ، فَقَرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ ، وَجَهَرَ حَتَّى أَسْمَعَنَا ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَتْ أَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " سُنَّةٌ وَحَقٌّ " .
Talha bin Abdullah narrates: I performed a funeral prayer behind Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), and he recited Surah Al-Fatihah in it and recited it aloud, so much so that we heard his voice. When he completed the prayer, I held his hand and asked him about this. He replied: This is Sunnah and it is the truth.
