Hadith 3046

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ كَانُوا يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ " .
Salim narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to walk in front of the funeral procession.
