Hadith 3039

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ زُغْبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا وُضِعَتِ الْجَنَازَةُ ، وَاحْتَمَلَهَا الرِّجَالُ عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً قَالَتْ : قَدِّمُونِي ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَيْرَ صَالِحَةٍ ، قَالَتْ : يَا وَيْلَهَا أَيْنَ يَذْهَبُونَ بِهَا ، يَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلا الإِنْسَانَ ، وَلَوْ سَمِعَهَا الإِنْسَانُ لَصَعِقَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the funeral (bier) is placed (on the cot) and people lift it onto their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous, it says: 'Take me forward,' and if it was not righteous, it says: 'Woe to me! Where are they taking it?' Everything except humans hears its voice; if a human were to hear it, he would fall unconscious."
