Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the mosque at a time when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was talking with the people. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) went inside the house where the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had passed away. This was the house of the noble wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) removed the sheet made of "Habrah" with which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had been covered. He looked at the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then leaned over him and kissed him, and said: "May my father be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, Allah will not combine two deaths upon you. You have tasted the death after which you will never die."
