فصل في الموت وما يتعلق به من راحة المؤمن وبشراه وروحه وعمله والثناء عليه - ذكر مغفرة الله جل وعلا ذنوب من شهد له جيرانه بالخير وإن علم الله منه بخلافهSection on death and related matters: comfort of the believer, glad tidings, soul, deeds, and praise – Allah forgives the sins of one whose neighbors testify to his goodness, even if Allah knows otherwise
Hadith 3026

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْوَكِيعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ فَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ أَرْبَعَةُ أَهْلِ أَبْيَاتٍ مِنْ جِيرَتِهِ الأَدْنَيْنَ ، أَنَّهُمْ لا يَعْلَمُونَ إِلا خَيْرًا ، إِلا قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلا : قَدْ قَبِلْتُ عِلْمَكُمْ فِيهِ ، وَغَفَرْتُ لَهُ مَا لا تَعْلَمُونَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever a Muslim passes away and four members from among his close neighbors testify regarding him that they know only good about him, then Allah Almighty says: I have accepted your knowledge about this person, and I have forgiven those things of his which you do not know."
