أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هَاذِمِ اللَّذَّاتِ ، فَمَا ذَكَرَهُ عَبْدٌ قَطُّ وَهُوَ فِي ضِيقٍ إِلا وَسَعَهُ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلا ذَكَرُهُ وَهُوَ فِي سَعَةٍ إِلا ضَيِّقَهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "Remember frequently the destroyer of pleasures. Whoever remembers it in times of hardship, it becomes ease for him, and whoever remembers it in times of ease, it brings constriction upon him."
