أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُسَافِرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، وأبي بكر بن سليمان بن أبي حثمة ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، صَلاةَ الْعِشَاءِ فِي آخِرِ حَيَاتِهِ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ ، فَقَالَ : " رَأَيْتُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ ؟ فَإِنَّ عَلَى رَأْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ لا يَبْقَى مِنْهَا مِمَّنْ هُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the ‘Isha prayer during the last days of his life. When he finished the prayer with salam, he stood up and said: Do you know about this night of yours? Exactly one hundred years from today, none of those who are present on the face of the earth now will remain.
