أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِشَهْرٍ : " تَسْأَلُونِي عَنِ السَّاعَةِ وَإِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ، وَأُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ : مَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ نَفْسٌ مَنْفُوسَةٌ الْيَوْمَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْهَا مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying this one month before his passing: You people ask me about the Hour; its knowledge is with Allah. And I swear by the name of Allah that whoever is present on the face of the earth today, not a single one of them will be alive one hundred years from today.
