Hadith 2967

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَجَعًا يَجِدُهُ فِي جَسَدِهِ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ضَعْ يَدَكَ عَلَى الَّذِي تَأْلَمَ مِنْ جَسَدِكَ ، وَقُلْ ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ثَلاثًا ، وَقُلْ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ : أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ " .
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abu al-As Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him): He complained to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about the pain he had been feeling in his body since the day he accepted Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Place your hand on the part of your body where you feel pain, recite "Bismillah" three times, and then recite this seven times: "I seek refuge in Allah and in His power from the evil of what I find and of what I fear."
