Hadith 2933

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، وَالْحَوْضِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ ، وَخَالِدِ بْنِ عُرْفُطَةَ ، أنهما بلغهما أَنَّ رَجُلا مَاتَ بِبَطْنٍ ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا : أَلَمْ يَبْلُغْكُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَهُ بَطْنُهُ لَمْ يُعَذَّبْ فِي قَبْرِهِ " ، قَالَ الآخَرُ : صَدَقْتَ ، وَقَالَ الْحَوْضِيُّ : بَلَى .
Sulaiman bin Surad and Khalid bin Urfutah narrate: They came to know that a person had died due to an illness. So one of them said: Have you people not heard that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever dies due to a stomach illness will not be punished in the grave." The other person said: You have spoken the truth. Then the narrator named Hawzi said: Yes.
