Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was afflicted with pain, he would become restless and turn about on his bed. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said in his service: If any of us had done this, you (peace be upon him) would have expressed displeasure at it. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hardship befalls the righteous; whenever a believer is pricked by a thorn, or suffers any pain besides that, due to it his sins are wiped away and his rank is elevated. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Isa bin Abu Kathir made a mistake in narrating the name of the narrator as Abdullah bin Naseeb. The real name is Abdullah bin Harith, and he is the nephew of Ibn Sirin, but he could not transmit the word Harith and instead mentioned Abdullah bin Naseeb.
