It is narrated about Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). He submitted: How can there be any improvement after this verse? "It is neither according to your desires nor the desires of the People of the Book; whoever does evil will be recompensed for it." (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, submitted:) So will we be recompensed for whatever deeds we do? The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you, do you not fall ill? Do you not become sad? Do you not face difficulties? Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: I said: Yes. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: This is the thing for which you people are recompensed.
