Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the night of Mi'raj, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a pleasant fragrance, so he inquired: O Jibreel! What is this fragrance? He replied: This is the fragrance of the woman who used to comb the hair of Pharaoh's daughter and her children. Once, she was combing Pharaoh's daughter's hair when the comb fell from her hand, and as she picked it up, she said: "In the name of Allah." Pharaoh's daughter asked: "Do you mean my father?" The woman replied: "No, rather my and your Lord is Allah, the Exalted." Pharaoh's daughter asked: "Do you have a Lord other than my father?" The woman replied: "Yes, Allah, the Exalted." Pharaoh's daughter said: "Shall I inform my father of this?" The woman replied: "Yes." So Pharaoh's daughter informed Pharaoh, and Pharaoh summoned the woman and asked her: "Do you have a Lord other than me?" The woman replied: "Yes, my and your Lord is Allah, the Exalted." So Pharaoh ordered for lead to be melted, and it was melted. The woman said to him: "I have one request from you." He replied: "Alright." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then he began to throw her children one by one (into the fire) until it was the turn of her nursing infant. Then the child said: "O my mother! Remain steadfast, for you are upon the truth."
