أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةَ الْخَوْفِ ، بِإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَةً ، وَالطَّائِفَةُ الأُخْرَى مُوَاجِهَةُ الْعَدُوِّ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا ، فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أَصْحَابِهِمْ مُقْبِلِينَ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَمَضَى هَؤُلاءِ ، فَقَامُوا مَقَامَ أَصْحَابِهِمْ مُقْبِلِينَ عَلَى الْعَدُوِّ ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكُ ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَضَى هَؤُلاءِ رَكْعَةً وَهَؤُلاءِ رَكْعَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the prayer of fear. He led one group in one rak’ah while the other group remained facing the enemy. Then those people returned and stood facing the enemy. When the others came, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in one rak’ah as well. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said salam with all of them. Then these people went and stood facing the enemy in place of their companions. Then the others came, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in one rak’ah as well. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said salam with all of them, so both these people and those people performed one rak’ah each.
