Hadith 284

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذْ بْنِ مُعَاذْ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ ، عَنْ أبيه ، قَالَ : كُنَّا قُعُودًا عَلَى بَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا ، فَقَالَ : " اسْمَعُوا " ، قُلْنَا : قَدْ سَمِعْنَا ، قَالَ : " اسْمَعُوا " ، قُلْنَا : قَدْ سَمِعْنَا ، قَالَ : " اسْمَعُوا " ، قُلْنَا : قَدْ سَمِعْنَا ، قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ بَعْدَي أُمَرَاءُ ، فَلا تُصَدِّقُوهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَلا تُعِينُوهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، لَمْ يَرِدْ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ " .
Abdullah bin Janab narrates from his father: "Once we were sitting at the door of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He came to us and said: Listen attentively! We said: We are ready to listen. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Listen attentively! We said: We are ready to listen. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Listen attentively! We said: We are ready to listen. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Soon after me, some rulers will come, so do not affirm their lies and do not help them in their oppression, because whoever affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression will not be able to reach my pond.'"
