أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلا نَحْوًا مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلا ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلا ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلا ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلا ، دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلا وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلا ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلا ، وَهُوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوْلِ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ ، لا يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ ، فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ " . فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، رَأَيْنَاكَ تَنَاوَلْتَ شَيْئًا فِي مَقَامِكَ هَذَا ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْنَاكَ تَكَعْكَعْتَ ، قَالَ: " إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، أَوْ أُرِيتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، فَتَنَاوَلْتُ مِنْهَا عُنْقُودًا ، وَلَوْ أَخَذْتُهُ لأَكَلْتُمْ مِنْهُ مَا بَقِيَتِ الدُّنْيَا ، وَرَأَيْتُ النَّارَ ، فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ مَنْظَرًا قَطُّ ، وَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ " قَالُوا: بِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " بِكُفْرِهِنَّ " قِيلَ: يَكْفُرْنَ بِاللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " يَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ ، وَيَكْفُرْنَ الإِحْسَانَ ، لَوْ أَحْسَنْتَ إِلَى إِحْدَاهُنَّ الدَّهْرَ ، ثُمَّ رَأَتْ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا قَالَتْ: وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنْوَاعُ صَلاةِ الْكُسُوفِ سَنَذْكُرُهَا فِيمَا بَعْدُ بِالتَّفْصِيلِ فِي الْقِسْمِ الْخَامِسِ فِي نَوْعِ الأَفْعَالِ الَّتِي هِيَ مِنِ اخْتِلافِ الْمُبَاحِ إِنَّ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ وَيَسَّرَهُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: During the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there was a solar eclipse. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed prayer, and the people prayed behind him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood for a long time, about as long as it takes to recite Surah Al-Baqarah, then he bowed (ruku‘). He made a long ruku‘, then he raised his head and stood for a long time, but it was less than the first standing. Then he made a long ruku‘, but it was less than the first ruku‘. Then he prostrated (sajdah). Then he stood for a long time, but it was less than the previous standing. Then he made a long ruku‘, but it was less than the previous ruku‘. Then he raised his head and stood for a long time, but it was less than the previous standing. Then he made a long ruku‘, but it was less than the previous ruku‘. Then he went into prostration. When he finished the prayer, the sun had become bright again. He said: “Indeed, the sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of the death or life of anyone. When you see them (in the state of eclipse), remember Allah.” The people said: O Messenger of Allah! We saw you reach forward as if to take something, then we saw you step back. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I saw Paradise (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words), Paradise was shown to me, so I tried to take a bunch of its grapes. If I had taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains. And I saw Hellfire. I have never seen a scene as terrifying as today. I saw that the majority of its inhabitants are women. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! What is the reason for that? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Because of their ingratitude. It was asked: Do they disbelieve in Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: They are ungrateful to their husbands and deny favors. If you do good to one of them for a long time, and then she sees something from you that she dislikes, she will say: By Allah! I have never seen any good from you. (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The various types of the eclipse prayer will soon be discussed in detail in the fifth section, in the type related to actions, which are among the permissible actions that are subject to difference, if Allah wills and makes it easy.
