أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ تِسْعَةٌ : خَمْسَةٌ وَأَرْبَعَةٌ ، أَحَدُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ ، وَالآخَرُ مِنَ الْعَجَمِ ، فَقَالَ : " اسْمَعُوا ، أَوْ هَلْ سَمِعْتُمْ ، إِنَّهُ يَكُونُ بَعْدَي أُمَرَاءُ ، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي ، وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ ، وَلَيْسَ بِوَارِدٍ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ ، وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ ، فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ ، وَهُوَ وَارِدٌ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ " .
Sayyiduna Ka’b bin ‘Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. We were nine people, five of whom were of one kind and four of another kind. One of these two groups was Arab, and the other was non-Arab. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Listen carefully (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words), are you listening? After me, rulers will come. Whoever goes to them and affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression, he will have nothing to do with me, and I will have nothing to do with him. He will not be able to come to my pond. And whoever does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression, he will have a connection with me and I will have a connection with him, and he will be able to come to me at my pond.”
