Ibn Hibban

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “On (the day of Jumu’ah) two angels sit at every door of the mosque who record the names of those who come first. Their example is like this: a person offered a camel as a sacrifice, then another person offered a cow as a sacrifice, then another person offered a goat as a sacrifice, then another person offered a bird as a sacrifice, then as if he gave an egg in charity. Then when the Imam sits on the pulpit, the registers are closed.”
